Modern prop trading is a controversial business. At its core, the industry lives on evaluations; and for years, many firms have turned that into a trap.
The problem is that many firms design evaluations and conditions not to identify talented traders or build discipline in those lacking it, but instead to make them intentionally difficult, with hidden rules that set traders up to fail. Others race to the bottom with ultra-cheap accounts and loose rules, creating short-lived businesses that can’t survive in the long term.
Both paths fail traders.
At CoinProp, we believe the prop model is a powerful tool when done right. Trading is already hard enough, our job isn’t to trick traders but to give them a fair shot in an environment that mirrors professional trading.
Our philosophy is built on:
We know most traders lose money. That’s the nature of trading. But if you’re part of the minority who can stay consistent and disciplined, we believe CoinProp is where you can prove it, and get rewarded.
We are transparent about how we make money.
Like every evaluation-based prop firm, the majority of our revenue comes from evaluations. Most traders who attempt an evaluation won’t make it to payout; whether at CoinProp or anywhere else. Even among those who pass, only a fraction continue to perform consistently.
That’s the reality of trading.
But there’s a difference: our model is designed so that if you fail, it’s because trading is hard, not because the rules were designed to make you fail.
Unlike brokers, we don’t A-book or B-book trades. Our trading environment is fully simulated and rule-based. Your trades aren’t sent to the market or offset internally. All outcomes come from your performance against our fixed rules, nothing else.
In short:
Our aim is to strike the right balance, evaluations that are smart enough to filter out gamblers, yet fair and clear enough to give disciplined traders a real shot to earn what they deserve.
